We sell our plants at our greenhouse near Odessa. The people who work here are the ones that put a face on Burt’s Greenhouses for the public.
Our Garden Centre offers a very wide selection (over 1000) of plants. Our customers come to us trusting that they can get good quality plants along with the help they need to make their choices while being treated to exceptional courtesy.
Some of the characteristics that these people will have are:
- Willingness to assist people in finding the answers to their questions.
- Genuine curiosity about assisting people with their needs.
- Comfort and competence with Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to remain clear and polite under pressure when dealing with the public.
- It is an asset but not a requirement to have knowledge of annuals and perennials.
- The ideal candidate would enjoy both gardening and making sales.
- Ability to work diligently in an independent environment.
- Ability and willingness to attend to details with respect to care and display of plants
