Defaulting to your Employee Name

Defaults set beginning values in an order so as to cut down on typing and to ensure greater accuracy. You should go to Defaults at the beginning of a session to ensure your name is defaulted in the EmplID field. You get there by typing Altd-9 which activates the ”9 Common Toolbar” at the right side of the screen.

Selecting Defaults from this menu produces the following window:

The most important task here is to ensure that your name is in the “Employee:” field. By doing this you become the default employee every time an order is created and when you create a new customer. Other defaults are to be left alone.
